ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
ADULT STUDENTS
TTI admissions policies require that all applicants:
All students applying for admission to Taylor Technical Institute must take the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) as required by Florida Statute 1004.91 and associated State Administrative Rule 6A. Any student found to lack the required level the required level of basic skills for such program shall be referred to career-preparatory instruction or adult basic education for a structured program of basic-skills instruction. Such instruction may include English for speakers of other languages. A student may not receive a career certificate of completion without first demonstrating the basic skills required in the state curriculum frameworks for the program.
Adult Admission
1.
Complete the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) assessment
test.
2. Schedule
a conference with the counselor to discuss test results and class
schedule.
3. Complete
an application/schedule form in the Student Services office.
4. Documentation
of Florida Residency for in state tuition.
5. Pay
fees.
6. Financial
aid students must complete all paperwork before entry into a
program.
7. Students who are under 21 years of age and who are attending adult
education classes shall present certification of immunization for
communicable diseases.
HIGH SCHOOL & DUAL ENROLLED STUDENTS
High school students (TCHS) can receive postsecondary vocational instruction at TTI which operates within the Taylor County School District.
