Special Needs Adult Program (SNAP)

Ms. Connie Gibson, Instructor

Ms. Sharon Kelley, SNAP Aide

SNAP is designed to promote self-sufficiency through literacy, life and social skills, arts and crafts, and recreation. The SNAP program provides educational and vocational instruction for physically and mentally challenged adults. Students participate in individual activities, group discussions, and role-playing to prepare for a variety of life experiences in the real world. The program is held in a classroom, which provides a home-like environment where students may be involved in activities to promote success in personal management, grooming, health and safety, social development, household management and community activities. Students are also guided through activities to upgrade their academic skills.
