After successfully completing this program, the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of automotive  mechanics, apply electrical and electronic skills in diagnosing/troubleshooting malfunctions of electrical/electronic components, demonstrate proficiency in servicing steering, suspension and wheel systems, servicing automotive brake systems, servicing cooling air conditioning and heating services and demonstrate employability skills and an understanding of entrepreneurship.  Typically, a student may expect  to complete this program in 1800 hours.  Students who do not meet the minimum grade levels for this program (Reading: 9.0, Math: 10.0, Language: 9.0) will be required to enroll in the Vocational Preparatory Instruction for remediation in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
